Hillary Carr is the passionate, creative designer behind Vessel & Stem. After assisting Erin Ostreicher of Nectar & Root at a picturesque wedding in Vermont in 2015, Hillary realized her overwhelming passion for all things floral. Embracing this newfound passion, Hillary took a 2016 apprenticeship at the historic Inn at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont, both assisting and creating weekly floral arrangements for the Inn, all guest rooms, and guest cottages. In 2016, Hillary attended a workshop in Red Hook Brooklyn with Saipua through the Little Flower School. In 2019, she studied Color Theory through Tinge Floral’s Spring 2019 workshop in Salt Lake City, Utah, led by designers Ashley Beyer, Sarah Winward, Jenn Sanchez and Max Gill.
Providing custom floral designs and styling services for weddings & events, Hillary works to establish a cohesive look & feel for each special occasion.
Vessel + Stem’s floral arrangements artistically combine fresh florals and foraged foliage. Inspired by each season’s natural abundance, Vessel + Stem creatively utilizes local materials to compliment each unique environment.
